- General CE — 5 hours
Important Information
Optometrists in Texas need to complete a total of 32 hours of continuing education every two years, including 24 hours of Diagnosis or treatment of ocular disease, two hours of Professional Responsibility, and one hour of Human Trafficking; the rest can be general CE of your choosing.
Renewal periods in Texas run two years and end on December 31 for every licensee. Complete all required hours before that date.
