Important Information
Optometrists in North Carolina need to complete a total of 25 hours of continuing education each year, including nine hours of Ocular/general pharmacology, diagnosis and therapeutics, or advanced clinical procedures; the rest can be general CE of your choosing.
Renewal periods in North Carolina run one year and end on December 31 for every licensee. Complete all required hours before that date.
