Requirements
- Therapeutic Pharmaceutical Agents (TPA) – ocular disease diagnosis/treatment — 30 hours
- TPA credits in oral/live format (subset of 30 TPA) — 10 hours
- General CE — 10 hours
Important Information
Optometrists in New Jersey need to complete a total of 50 hours of continuing education every two years, including 30 hours of Therapeutic Pharmaceutical Agents (TPA) – ocular disease diagnosis/treatment and ten hours of TPA credits in oral/live format (subset of 30 TPA); the rest can be general CE of your choosing.
Renewal periods in New Jersey run two years and end on April 30 for every licensee. Complete all required hours before that date.
