- CPR for healthcare providers at basic level (counts toward total) — 2 hours
- General CE — 11 hours
Important Information
Dental hygienists in the District of Columbia need to complete a total of 20 hours of continuing education every two years, including two hours of Infection control, one hour of Ethics, two hours of LGBTQ cultural competency or specialized clinical training, two hours of Public health priorities (designated by Director of DOH), and two hours of CPR for healthcare providers at basic level (counts toward total); the rest can be general CE of your choosing.
Your renewal period runs two years and ends on the last day of your birth month — not your birthday itself. Complete all required hours before that date.
