- Infectious diseases / infection control — 3 hours
- Chemical dependency, tobacco cessation, ethics, risk management, or AZ dental jurisprudence (at least 1 of these areas) — 3 hours
- General CE — 39 hours
Important Information
Dental hygienists in Arizona need to complete a total of 45 hours of continuing education every three years, including three hours of Infectious diseases / infection control and three hours of Chemical dependency, tobacco cessation, ethics, risk management, or AZ dental jurisprudence (at least 1 of these areas); the rest can be general CE of your choosing.
Your renewal period runs three years and ends on the last day of your birth month — not your birthday itself. Complete all required hours before that date.
