- Ethical Practice of Social Work — 3 hours
- Cultural Competence — 3 hours
- Implicit Bias Awareness — 1 hour
- Sexual Harassment Prevention — 1 hour
- Clinical Supervision Training (LCSW only, one-time lifetime requirement)* — 6 hours
- General CE — 22 hours

Important Information
Social workers in Illinois need to complete a total of 30 hours of continuing education every two years, including three hours of Ethical Practice of Social Work, three hours of Cultural Competence, one hour of Implicit Bias Awareness, and one hour of Sexual Harassment Prevention; the rest can be general CE of your choosing. A few additional topics apply only in certain situations — see the asterisked items above.
Renewal periods in Illinois run two years and end on November 30 for every licensee. Complete all required hours before that date.
