- Ethics (may include VA insurance law and regs) — 3 hours
- Flood (one-time for flood sellers)* — 3 hours
- LTC initial (one-time, includes 2 hrs VA-specific)* — 8 hours
- LTC ongoing (each biennial period) — 4 hours
- Annuity suitability (one-time)* — 4 hours

Important Information
Insurance professionals in Virginia need to complete a total of 16 hours of continuing education every two years, including three hours of Ethics (may include VA insurance law and regs) and four hours of LTC ongoing (each biennial period). A few additional topics apply only in certain situations — see the asterisked items above.
Your renewal period runs two years and ends on the last day of your birth month — not your birthday itself. Complete all required hours before that date.
